Committed to our
local communities
We work with partners in the communities surrounding our neighbourhoods to drive economic growth, support grassroots community activities and provide education and training opportunities for local people. Below are just some of the programmes and initiatives we are involved in.
Inspiring careers
We have an Enterprise Advisor partnerships with Bolton Muslim Girls School and St Peter’s Catholic High School, Wigan. We are also part of the Greater Manchester Enterprise Advisor Network, working closely with local schools and employers to support career opportunities. We regularly host tours of our developments, talks and activities on-site for local schools. Read about our recent partnership with The Sixth Form Bolton here.
Community clubs and outreach
We get in at ground level with the local clubs and groups that play a vital role in bringing communities together. We’ve been able to support Boothstown Football Club, Bolton Lads’ and Girls’ Club, Barrowford Celtic Girls and Westhoughton Lions Rugby Club.
We also take suggestions from our residents about the initiatives they want to be involved with.
Creating opportunities
At each of our communities, we focus on providing work for local people. This includes partnering with our network of trusted suppliers and contractors to run upskilling programmes and apprenticeships schemes, addressing the skills shortage in the construction industry.
Supporting affordable living
We are a Registered Provider partner for Trafford Housing Trust, Laurus Homes, Bolton at Home and Torus, on our Keld, Airie and Glisk developments, to provide affordable homes for shared ownership and affordable rent.
Driving industry excellence
We are a registered Delivery Partner for Homes England’s Dynamic Purchasing System, to support the Government’s drive to create more homes across the country. We are also a signatory for the Building Safety Charter, honouring its commitments to improve safety practises across the sector for employees, residents and visitors alike.
